The Thinking Spot

Frog has a new hideaway, a thinking spot if you will. Sometimes he goes there to escape. Sometimes he goes there to take in the vista or check on the neighbors. Sometimes he goes there to be secretive. Sometimes he calls out to be seen.

Yesterday - he went there to dance:

What he still hasn't figured out - how to get back down!

LOL! That's my kind of thinking spot! I need one of those too.

It is a pretty cool spot up there in the tree. The first time I saw him there he scared me to death. Now I'm used to it - but the step dancing on the ridgepole was a bit much :0)

There's his beautiful face! The way the pics taken it looks like he's elevated..lol I'd be a nervous wreck, but very cute!

Hi Krist,

You're right. He's a toe walker and he was in Releve’ - hopping from foot to foot. It is a little nerve wracking when we catch him up there, but if he wasn't up on this rooftop, he would probably be trying to get up on the real thing! Ever since he was an infant, he’s had an infatuation with elevation.

Hmm... instead of fiddler on the roof we have Frog on the Roof :)

So, how does he climb up?

My kids were dragging a baby-slide over next to my daughter's playhouse to get up on top! It stopped when I gave the baby slide away to someone who could use it "the right way" :)

Hi Hello Kitty Mama,

Yes, or Frog on a hot tin (plastic) roof! The house has a little door that he opens and steps on. From there he does a front support (just like Diva on her gymnastics bar) then swings a leg up. The play house will probably be gone soon - more room for the herb garden. But no doubt he will find something new to climb :0)

Wow love that photo .. he looks like he is having tons of fun. what a great place for him to go and be a kid. I bet he is going to miss that but the herbs will be wonderful won't they.

Yeah, Angel eyes is currently stacking his toy boxes on top of eachother on top of the bed no less and climbing on that. Hubby says he'll learn when he falls off, I say YEAH RIGHT! He'll laugh it off and try to go higher!

These tip toe high climbing kiddos are too smart!

Yes, Rhema has an infatuation with elevation, too. I wonder why that is? She is ALWAYS stacking things on top of each other so that she can climb up and balance herself on top. Always climbing.
I've been meaning to say for the longest time that I love Frog's hair!

Hi Sherry,

Yes He will probably miss it, but he has lots of other fun things in our yard - and he loves to pick the herbs so he will be OK with the bigger selection!

Hi Krystal,

"These tip toe high climbing kiddos are too smart!" LOL -You can say that again!

Hi Rhemashope,

They just don't seem to outgrow that elevation thing - we are certain Frog is going to want to be a rockclimber! His hair is his crowning glory - and the bain of mom's existance. I love his hair too and fortunatly it is very forgiving (he rarely let's me brush it). But he can't stand for me to cut it even when it is hanging over his eyes and he can't see. Other parents have suggested a buzz cut that would last longer - but I can't bring myself to do it. So we do the hair-cutting dance!

Mine is upside down instead of climber!
Cute photo, goo for yo letting him be, I agree with you that the kids need freedom to explore...if he ever falls I will delete this comment and bublewrap my son lol
