Change of Venue
What do you do when you have to get everything off the floor of your therapy/playroom, keep your child entertained but out of the house, and you need to be available to answer questions from the carpet cleaning technician?
Have a Circus!
Frog doesn't pay a whole lot of attention to all this stuff when it's inside - been there, done that. But when he spotted this set-up out in the yard he beamed (sorry for the pun) and beat on the window wanting to get out there. Nothing like a change of venue to make everything old - new again.
Diva was equally impressed when she came home from school and treated us to several new balance beam routines before ballet class :0).

That's a lot of fun equipment but I don't think it would be enough to tempt my lot outside. We have a 'wedge' just like that = weighs a tonne, it's a full work out just to move the darned thing.
Cheers
We are headed right over to play!
Shoot - I'm envious - what an awesome set up to have. Both of my kids would love that!!!
I wanted to ask you about your trampoline, if you don't mind.
Do you find that the bouncing/big trampoline is a good outlet for him/calms him down after (wears him out?)
We used to have a small indoor trampoline and Alex loved it. Then he learned that he could jump on other things - the couch, the furniture, the bed - ended up with stitches twice (good thing grampa is a plastic surgeon) We put the trampoline away. Now he is too big for the small indoor one. We've thought about one of the larger outdoor ones - I'm just so fearful of injuries.... I think it would probably help him though.
Anyways, was going to email you but realized it just went to 'no-comment@ blogger' oops!
Sorry for the long and sorta off topic comment. Feel free to email me hellokittiemama at gmail dot com if you want to take it to email.
Have a blessed day,
Hop on!

beautiful, LOL! oops!
Wow, Frog's got some fun equipment. Too bad we live in different time zones - otherwise I'd be coming over with the kids! Great idea moving it outside, and I can completely relate to having to do 10 different things in one moment while keeping the kids from undoing everything you're trying to do!

So cute! Quite the equipment you've got too!
Thanks everyone for stopping by. We do have a lot of equipment - some purchased in that frenzied time right after we got Frog's diagnosis and were furnishing a play therapy room, and some came later as Diva began competative gymnastics and showed great talent for ballet. We've probably gone overboard, but it all gets used and enjoyed by our kids and many, many others. (last week the mat were staggered and piled into a fort for our home school day).
That is so true about a change of venue! I remember going through a spell when we couldn't get Jackson to eat. Meal after meal, he would hardly eat anything. Then we moved his highchair outside and voila! He would eat!
That looks like some fun play equipment you have!
What a great way to handle what could have been a really difficult day! I am going to see how I can use this idea around here. My son loves when things are different if they are funny.
That is awesome! Can we come over to play? :)
