One of the Gang

A friend of ours invited Frog and I to join a group of preschoolers who were hitting a playground after class.

Frog's friend yelled - "Hey Frog, get on the boat!" as soon as we arrived. The other kids were new to us. Some of them thought it was a little strange, how frog did not talk to them. They tried to engage him, and then went about their play. He played among them and had a great time.

I found this one amusing. I happened to catch the exact moment when Frog was the only one looking at another person.

Frog was thrilled when his friend decided to load up the bottom of the slide with pea-gravel, one of his favorite rocks! What a way to slide :0)

Thanks guys, we had a blast!

Great photos! Looks like Frog had fun :-) I love the second photo where he is the only one looking...neat how the kids are in a circle all facing different directions.

Hi cdlsva,

I did a little editing on these, so I figured the didn't count for SOOC Saturday - but I was so happy with the pictures and Frog's playdate I wanted to leave them up to share for awhile :0)

thanks for stopping by!

It's great when kids all get along at the playground. :)

Looks like a fun day :) My guys love to play at the park, sometimes they get other kids to join them running around in circles! LOL, I guess they make it look fun :).

Hi Killashandra and lonestar818. Thanks for stopping by!

This play date was a big deal for Frog. He doesn't know how to play with other kids yet. Even at home when he is excited to hear that the boys are coming to play, when they get there it overwhelms him and he stays far away from them. I think he was comfortable in this group because the kids weren't trying too hard to play with him - it was more parallel play.

I think the playmates we had in the swimming pool this summer also are paying off.

Looks like tons of fun! I am glad that he was able to join in on the fun and be a kid!
